Week 12: Infused Classroom: Book Creator
Book Creator
Book Creator is a tool that allows educators and students to create and share ebooks within the classroom. This tool is free, and educators can create a "Teacher Library" which unlimited students can join. This tool can greatly benefit children who are reluctant to read.Benefits & Uses:
Students can use this tool to create collaborative pages using provided templates. They can then use the record feature to explain the information listed on the pages, and then share with their peers. This is an engaging way for students to work together to create stories, retell stories, or present upon a topic, especially during remote learning.
Student creation options:
- Comics
- Digital portfolios
- Math concept books
- Science journals
- Books/ reports
Tutorial for students:
I look forward to trying out this tool within my classroom and building an engaging library for students, as well as of students work!
I wish I had learned about this tool for my informational writing unit! We normally create them on paper, but since we are remote still we did not have the option this year. This tool seems very student friendly. I think it is cool that students can either work on it independently or collaboratively. Thanks for sharing!

Kayla,
ReplyDeleteAs a middle school ELA teacher, I LOVE this! I've been looking for fun ways to get my students excited about reading again, and this would be such a fun way to introduce our argument unit. I agree with Karissa and this tool looks very students friendly. Thank so much for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI am doing an informational writing unit this semester. I love this idea. Better yet my students will love it. I only have 1 student still working remotely, but this will enable him to easily work with a partner. Thanks so much for sharing.

This looks like an awesome resource for students to share their knowledge on a topic or to demonstrate understanding of things like main idea and key details, theme, etc. I think several of my students would love this!
